On the afternoon of February 29, comrade Tran Duc Thang, member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Hai Duong Provincial Party Committee, comrade Nguyen Danh Huy, Deputy Minister of Transport and a working delegation of the Ministry of Transport inspected the field project to upgrade and renovate the cargo yard at Cao Xa station (Cam Giang).

Also attending were comrade Luu Van Ban, member of the Provincial Party Standing Committee, Permanent Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee, and representatives of leaders of a number of departments, branches, and localities.

According to Vietnam Railways Corporation , Cao Xa station is currently being gradually upgraded and renovated into an international transit station. In this interim phase, the freight yard will be renovated and upgraded within the boundary of the land under railway management and meet the minimum requirements for a specialized bonded yard as prescribed. The expected investment scale is to renovate the office building, customs service 80 m2; build toilets; freight yard (crushed stone aggregate structure) 5,400 m2 with lighting system, water supply and drainage, surveillance cameras, fire prevention and fighting, renovation of car roads to the yard... The interim phase started on January 26, 2024, expected to be completed on April 30, 2024.

Speaking at the inspection, Mr. Nguyen Danh Huy, Deputy Minister of Transport, affirmed that upgrading Cao Xa station into an international transit station is of great significance. From this station, goods will be loaded onto international transit trains to be transported to other countries.

The Deputy Minister of Transport requested the Vietnam Railway Corporation to soon complete the project boundary marking, coordinate with Hai Duong province to include it in the planning and land use plan. Speaking at the inspection, Hai Duong Provincial Party Secretary Tran Duc Thang expressed his joy that after a short time, the project has had initial implementation. He asked the parties to coordinate to speed up the progress so that by April 30, the first international train will depart from Cao Xa station.

Comrade Tran Duc Thang requested Vietnam Railway Corporation to coordinate with the provincial authorities to carry out the steps in the project implementation process. When Cao Xa station is upgraded to operate international trains by rail, it will be of great significance to the province, creating favorable conditions for businesses importing and exporting goods in the province...
