A cluster of chickenpox cases appeared in a school in Thanh Ha district.

The Hai Duong Province Center for Disease Control has just recorded a cluster of chickenpox cases at An Phuong Primary School (Thanh Ha). There are 13 cases of the disease, all of whom have not been vaccinated.

As soon as the cluster of cases appeared, the Provincial Center for Disease Control coordinated with Thanh Ha District Medical Center and An Phuong Commune Medical Station to deploy measures to prevent and control the spread of the disease.

Previously, in early March, a chickenpox outbreak also occurred at Gia Xuyen Primary School (Hai Duong City) with 15 cases of the disease.

In addition to chickenpox, the number of cases of hand, foot and mouth disease in the province increased during the week from May 12 to 18. The province had 63 cases of hand, foot and mouth disease, an increase of 35 cases compared to the previous week. All patients were children under 5 years old.

While hand, foot and mouth disease increased, the number of measles cases continued to decrease last week. The whole province recorded 29 measles cases, a decrease of 2 cases compared to last week.
