Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh highly appreciated the progress in bilateral relations between the two countries in recent times and hoped that the two sides would coordinate to soon sign a Letter of Intent on establishing a Green Strategic Partnership to strengthen cooperation in green transformation, circular economy , and climate change adaptation between the two countries.

The Prime Minister proposed that the Norwegian Government continue to encourage Norwegian businesses and investment funds to invest and expand investment in Vietnam, especially in the fields of marine economy, green transformation, renewable energy, and circular economy.

The two leaders agreed to increase the exchange of high-level delegations, aiming to upgrade relations to a higher level in the coming time; promote the early conclusion of negotiations and signing of a free trade agreement between the European Free Trade Association (EFTA) and Vietnam.

Expressing his agreement with Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh's proposals, Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Store suggested that the two countries expand and deepen cooperation in various fields, especially offshore wind power, renewable energy, circular economy, seafood, waste treatment, etc., and agreed to continue to coordinate with each other at regional and international forums for peace, stability and common interests of the region and the world.
