Within the framework of the Hue Traditional Craft Festival 2023, the art program "Gratitude to the Perfume River" was held on the evening of May 1 with many extremely unique performances.

The Perfume River is 80km long, with the main section from Tuan junction to Thuan An estuary being about 30km long. The Perfume River meanders between the mountains and forests, carrying with it the fragrant scents of tropical herbs. The river slowly flows through the green, tree-lined villages of Kim Long, Nguyet Bieu, Vi Da, Dong Ba, Gia Hoi, Cho Dinh, Nam Pho, Bao Vinh, mingling with the fragrance of Hue flowers.

The art program was held on the banks of the Perfume River, on the ironwood bridge and Nguyen Dinh Chieu walking street, creating a colorful space on the poetic Perfume River.

The shimmering light of the dragon boats on the river, the brilliant lights of the stage, the music of the singers and the graceful dances in Ao Dai brought many emotions to tourists and people of Hue.

The art program "Gratitude to the Perfume River" features many performances such as solos, duets, trios, groups, dances... The performances praise the Perfume River as a tribute to the changing everyday life of modern life while still preserving the traditional, ancient features of Hue.

The Perfume River is often compared to a gentle, lyrical and poetic Hue girl. The river has inspired many artists.

36 flower boats from 36 wards and communes of Hue city are decorated with colorful lights bearing the characteristics of each locality.

Famous singers perform songs about the Perfume River in particular, helping tourists and locals better understand the Perfume River, thereby raising awareness of preserving the river's beauty.

"Gratitude to the Perfume River" is the first program held at the Traditional Craft Festival, so it has attracted the attention of many tourists and locals. Visitors to Hue during this festival will not only experience the unique traditional craft villages but also witness a new cultural festival on the Perfume River.

To ensure safety and stage space for the art program "Gratitude to the Perfume River", functional forces were also mobilized and on duty throughout the program.
