Sony's LYTIA sensor line targets many different smartphone segments.

The LYT900 is the flagship product of the LYTIA sensor series. With a size of 1/0.98 inches and an effective pixel count of approximately 50 MP, the LYT900 excels in delivering high image quality for smartphone photography. This 1-inch image sensor not only achieves excellent low-light performance, but also operates with low power consumption, ensuring a balance between performance and efficiency.

The LYT800 is positioned for mid-range to high-end models with a size of 1/1.43 inches and a pixel count of around 53 MP. Sony boasts that this is the first sensor with a 2-layer transistor pixel structure, allowing for high saturation signals and output quality equivalent to a 1-inch sensor.

Designed for slim smartphones, the LYT700 features a 1/1.56-inch sensor. Despite the reduced size, the sensor does not compromise on performance and supports advanced features.

Meanwhile, the LYT600 sensor, which measures 1/1.953 inches, is a versatile choice for smartphone cameras. It supports advanced features such as full-pixel autofocus, ensuring fast and accurate focusing. This sensor is expected to power telephoto lenses with 5x periscopes.

Sony said it will continue to develop and deliver LYTIA products that utilize cutting-edge technology to make its sensors the products of choice for smartphone users around the world . By pursuing the creative potential of combining imaging technology with smartphones, Sony promises a future where anyone can capture high-quality photos and videos with their smartphones, as well as receive new photography experiences.
