Speedtest Global Index is a monthly comparison of Internet speeds from around the world. The data is taken from hundreds of millions of tests people take through Speedtest every month. With a vast infrastructure of over 10,000 servers in over 190 countries, Speedtest ensures that users can always test with a local server wherever they are.
Speedtest has servers in several countries and major cities, ensuring accurate ratings without the need to travel long distances or travel abroad to conduct tests. As of January 1, 2019, countries must have at least 300 unique user test results for mobile or fixed networks in that month to be included in the rankings. Results for mobile speeds are based on all mobile technologies, while fixed broadband includes mobile Wi-Fi.
