On the morning of October 7, due to the influence of storm No. 11, heavy rain occurred over a large area in Hanoi.

Faced with the complex weather conditions, schools have proactively and flexibly switched to online learning to ensure the safety of teachers and students. Schools have deployed staff to urgently clean up facilities, protect property, and be ready to welcome students back to school as soon as conditions allow.

Faced with the situation of prolonged heavy rain causing flooding in many areas, the Board of Directors of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training directly inspected the organization of teaching and deployed response plans to storm No. 11 at a number of schools.

During field inspections at schools such as Ly Thuong Kiet Primary School (Van Mieu - Quoc Tu Giam ward), Phan Huy Chu - Dong Da High School and Trung Hoa Kindergarten (Yen Hoa ward), leaders of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training acknowledged the proactiveness and flexibility of the schools in changing teaching and learning status and ensuring safety for students and teachers.

At Phan Huy Chu High School - Dong Da, online lessons took place seriously and effectively. Director of the Hanoi Department of Education and Training Tran The Cuong directly observed the lessons, chatted online with students, and encouraged them to maintain a positive learning spirit and ensure safety in the complicated weather conditions.

He emphasized the role of parents in preparing equipment, coordinating management, and supporting their children in studying at home. This companionship is an important factor in making online learning effective, even in unfavorable conditions.

Mr. Tran The Cuong noted that schools need to promptly grasp the situation of teachers, especially those in heavily flooded areas. In the case of a teacher's house at Phan Huy Chu School - Dong Da being flooded, losing power, and unable to teach online, the Department requested the school to proactively arrange support and have a solution to ensure that teaching is not interrupted.

Acknowledging the proactive and urgent response spirit of schools, Mr. Tran The Cuong requested units to maintain on-duty forces, closely monitor weather developments, proactively adjust teaching plans to suit the actual situation; at the same time, prepare plans to support students and teachers when necessary.

He also asked parents to continue to closely coordinate with the school in managing and guiding their children to study online safely and effectively; ensuring safety in daily life and travel when the weather still has many potential risks.
