The museum welcomes and introduces artifacts to young visitors.

New generation interactive space

In the first 10 days of April, the Museum attracted nearly 6,500 visitors, an impressive number. What makes the difference is not only the rare specimens or modern interactive technology, but also the decisive action thinking of the leaders and the operating team, who are turning this place into a starting space for a future generation of green citizens.

The Museum space is gradually being restructured into an “open academic studio” in the heart of Hue city. With more than 5,000 specimens of endemic flora and fauna, and the Central Coastal Forest - Sea - Lagoon ecosystem, the Central Coastal Nature Museum is the only place in the region that integrates conservation -education - technology.

From 3D digitizing specimens, integrating data on Hue-S, to organizing workshops on making specimens..., this place is becoming a classroom without walls for students and the community. In particular, the interactive experience model - visual learning is being strongly deployed, suitable for the target audience that the city has identified as children and high school students.

Ms. Vo Thi Hai Hien (Thuan Hoa district) shared: “The space here is ideal for children to both study and play. I hope the Museum will continue to receive more investment, become more modern and have more valuable specimens for visitors to explore more about nature.”

Determined to create a breakthrough in education and conservation

During a working session at the Museum in mid-April, Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh noted: "The Museum space needs to have a consistent story, be divided into reasonable topics, and incorporate interactive technology, games, images, and sounds so that students can come to learn through experience and truly explore nature."

Mr. Le Nguyen Thoi Trung, Deputy Director in charge of the Museum, said: “We are focusing on comprehensive renovation to reshape the space, rebuild the process, tour routes and enhance interactive experiences for students and the community. Currently, the Museum has digitized more than 50 3D specimens and is continuing to expand, aiming to build a modern virtual museum platform - where visitors can explore according to each separate topic. During the time the Museum is temporarily closed for renovation, we organize mobile programs at schools, connect with the community through the Hue-S platform, and coordinate with training institutions to welcome students for internships and research.”

Standing Vice Chairman of the People's Committee Nguyen Thanh Binh pointed out that the Museum needs to be comprehensively renovated in the direction of starting with a general introduction room, divided into thematic sections, decorated in an eye-catching, cheerful, youthful manner, integrating technology - images - visual experiences. In the immediate future, the city will focus on stably developing the Museum at its current facility, suitable for the characteristics of experiential education, before implementing the construction of the central area according to the Museum Development Project. The Museum also needs to study streamlined, friendly operations, serving visitors and people attentively, towards a digital museum model - a multi-choice virtual museum with all specimens digitized.

The Central Coastal Nature Museum is gradually transforming in line with the direction set by the city's leaders: Becoming an intuitive, creative and engaging experiential educational space for students - the future generation of ecological citizens. This is no longer a quiet exhibition space, but a meeting point between knowledge - technology - green living inspiration. The museum is part of the strategy to develop Hue towards an ecological - academic - modern urban area, starting with nurturing the awareness of protecting nature right from school age.
