Machinery and vehicles have been mobilized by relevant units to fix the sinkhole incident.
Previously, a large-diameter, 2.5-meter-deep sinkhole appeared at this location. Although it was treated twice by dumping materials to fill the hole, it was not completely resolved. In recent days, heavy rain has occurred in the area, causing the sinkhole to widen further towards Highway 12B and towards residential areas.
The sinkhole on Highway 12B has been filled in, helping to ensure traffic on the route in the coming days.
On the afternoon of July 9, the People's Committee of Thuong Coc commune directed and coordinated with the direct management unit of National Highway 12B to fix and completely fill the sinkhole. At the same time, it recommended that the Road Management Section No. 3 continue to monitor surrounding locations at risk of subsidence in order to detect and promptly fix them.
