According to information from his family, around March 2023, comedian Tan Beo slipped and fell down the stairs, was injured, had difficulty walking and had to be treated for nearly 3 months.

At the end of June 2023, although he had not fully recovered, he still came to practice for the cai luong live show of famous singer Minh Canh.

After this performance, he is also preparing to practice for the Ho Quang opera "Mao Doan Tinh Giang The" to perform with Meritorious Artist Ngoc Huyen in July 2023.

However, he did not appear in the play afterwards. The reason was that he had a stroke. After a period of hospitalization, his family took him to a physical therapy center in Ho Chi Minh City for the past time.

Recently, many fellow artists and show organizers learned that comedian Tan Beo was sick and came to visit and encourage him.

According to his family, he did not reveal his illness to the public because he was afraid of worrying his audience. In addition, the male artist needed a quiet space to heal.

Currently, the male comedian's health has improved. He is still trying to practice to recover.

Tan Beo is a veteran actor of the Southern stage, with his sincere and rustic acting style, loved by the audience.

Starting his career with Cai Luong and Tuong Co theater at a young age, Tan Beo soon revealed his talent for comedy. In 1990, he officially chose comedy as his main art form and joined several comedy groups such as: "My Chi", "Kim Ngoc" comedy group... Tan Beo left an impression on the audience with many plays such as: Why go to the pagoda, Tinh Luong Son Ba, Rong Vang, Mo lam ca si, Nam No ve lang...

Tan Beo has won many awards such as "Best Comedian of Gala Cuoi 2003", "Most Favorite Comedian of 2004", "Golden Apricot 2003"... He and his younger brother - artist Tan Bo are two members of the comedy group "Tan Beo - Tan Bo". In 2009, the group released their first musical comedy album called Tinh Luong Son Ba.
