In terms of design, because it is an electric vehicle, the Land Cruiser EV is not equipped with a grille, instead a relatively flat design connects two thin light clusters and the Toyota logo in the middle.
The body of the Land Cruiser EV is designed strongly with many square ribs, the B-pillar of this model is designed thin, while the side glass is extended to the rear. The design has been seen on the latest generation Lexus RX models.
The rear of the car is also highlighted by strong creases and a system of thin, connected taillights. The design of this taillight cluster is similar to the Lexus LX luxury SUV.
The concept measures 5,150mm long, 1,990mm wide, and 1,705mm high, with a 3,050mm wheelbase. That makes the Land Cruiser Se longer but narrower and lower than the Land Cruiser Prado (4,925 x 1,980 x 1,870mm, 2,850mm wheelbase).
Toyota didn't provide any specifics, but the Land Cruiser SE doesn't use a separate chassis platform, but a monocoque setup. The Japanese automaker also hinted that the car will have high torque and a suspension system specifically suited for driving on the street.
Land Cruiser Se will be officially launched at the Japan Mobility Show (the new name of the Tokyo Motor Show) on October 26.
