T1 criticized for Gumayusi

Two trucks with harsh messages appeared in front of T1 headquarters, fueling controversy over how the team treats its players and growing pressure from the community.

T1 headquarters became the center of attention again when two trucks containing messages criticizing the leadership appeared outside the building. The person who carried out this action claimed to be a fan of the shooter Gumayusi. In the community, many people believe that this was a predicted development, because every time T1's internal turmoil occurs, the form of protest by truck has almost become a "tradition".

The first truck (left) appeared with messages aimed directly at T1’s management. The content claimed that the executive team was “incompetent” and demanded their resignation. The truck also alleged that despite T1 receiving a large sponsorship, the management still failed to renew the contract with Triple FMVP, making the organization a laughingstock of the entire esports industry. The final message asserted that T1’s current restructuring process was “the worst.”

Meanwhile, the second truck (right) focused on criticizing SKT T1's Chief Operating Officer (COO), using harsher words, calling him "useless trash" and demanding his resignation. Another slogan criticized the club as incompetent and unworthy of owning the greatest marksman in history.

The incident happened right after T1 failed to retain FMVP of the 2025 World Championship (W25). For some fans, this is proof that there are many problems within the team, especially in personnel management and restructuring.

While not the one being singled out for criticism over his performance, Gumayusi has once again found himself in the crosshairs of controversy. Over the past year, the T1 AD Carry has become the name most associated with the backlash from a segment of fans.

From the transfer story at the end of 2024 to the controversies throughout the 2025 season, every time there was drama around T1, Gumayusi was dragged into it as part of the conflict, even in messages that were not directly related to him.

That situation created a lot of pressure. Many fans said that Gumayusi had to endure criticism from social media to T1's member channels. Some other opinions also questioned the indifferent attitude of the leadership, especially after the incident of him not appearing in the video honoring the championship of the 2024 season.

Using trucks to pressure esports teams is a common trend in Korea, especially with large organizations like T1. Whenever a controversial decision occurs, a segment of fans choose this powerful form of expression as a way to force the team to respond.
