On the afternoon of July 28, the launch of Vietnam's Next Top Model 2025 took place in Ho Chi Minh City, announcing the top 15 contestants entering the common house. Unlike some previous seasons that had both genders, this year's program only selected female models.
The organizers said they did not use "drama" to attract the audience. The strong emotions of the contestants all came from the pressure of the challenges. The Top 15 all have experience performing in domestic fashion shows, having gone through a nearly 4-day selection round with thousands of competitors. The champion received a cash prize of 300 million VND and was given the opportunity to work in fashion capitals.
Host and judge Thanh Hang admitted that she wanted to be friendly and "say nice things" instead of being too strict with the contestants.
Compared to previous hosts, the supermodel feels pressured but grateful to her colleagues who have created a foundation and contributed much value to the fashion industry. She affirms that her mission does not end when the competition ends, pledging to be a "support" for young talents.
Judge - designer Do Manh Cuong encouraged the contestants to be confident and set goals for success in Vietnam before thinking about going abroad. He gave an example of supermodel Thanh Hang becoming a star without having to prove herself on the international stage. This year's season not only evaluates the catwalk but also the contestants' attitude and work ethics.
The Top 15 includes many familiar faces such as: Tuyet Mai (Taekwondo athlete), Vu My Ngan (Ao Dai Beauty, Top 15 Miss Vietnam 2024), Ngo Tra My (Director Pham Anh's new "muse")...
