Urgently repair damaged educational and medical facilities after floods

On November 22, the People's Committee of Khanh Hoa province sent a document to the Department of Health; Department of Education and Training; Provincial Military Command; Provincial Police; People's Committees of communes, wards and special zones on urgently repairing educational and medical facilities damaged by natural disasters, ensuring learning conditions for students and medical examination and treatment for people.

Accordingly, the Provincial People's Committee requested the Commune People's Committee to directly direct, organize a thorough review, make statistics, and fully assess the extent of damage to educational and medical facilities in the area under its management, and the recovery work to date; and send a report to the Department of Education and Training and the Department of Health on November 22. At the same time, mobilize the military, police, youth union forces, and the people to focus on cleaning schools and classrooms, speed up the repair and restoration of schools and medical facilities damaged by natural disasters, and complete it by November 23. Absolutely do not let students lack schools, classrooms, teachers, clothes, books, teaching equipment and school supplies, and do not let people lack medical examination and treatment facilities. Localities and units report to the Provincial People's Committee on the implementation results no later than November 23; At the same time, send to the Department of Education and Training and the Department of Health for general synthesis and report to the Provincial People's Committee no later than November 24.

The Department of Health needs to directly direct, organize a thorough review, make statistics, and fully assess the extent of damage to medical facilities in the province; make a list of medical facilities that need support in cleaning and sanitation due to rain and floods; send the list to the Provincial Military Command for coordination and support. At the same time, direct functional units and medical forces at the facility to review and promptly supplement the reserve of medicines, chemicals, and supplies, ensuring adequate supply of essential medicines for the people; organize environmental sanitation, disease prevention and control, and food safety and hygiene after floods; and not allow interruptions in emergency care and treatment of patients.

The Provincial People's Committee requested the Provincial Military Command and the Provincial Police to direct military and police units stationed in each locality to mobilize maximum forces, means, and materials to support localities affected by recent natural disasters in cleaning schools, repairing damaged educational and medical facilities, and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters in general, as requested by the Department of Education and Training, the Department of Health, and the People's Committees of communes and wards.
