On this occasion, the working delegation of the communes: Trung Chinh, Thang Loi, Truong Van, Tuong Linh, Thang Binh, Cong Chinh (old Nong Cong district), supported Duy Nghia, Duy Xuyen, Thu Bon communes, each locality 350 million VND, Nam Phuoc commune 200 million VND to overcome the damage caused by floods. At the same time, the delegation gave 40 gifts to 40 poor households affected by floods in the 4 communes.

During the recent historic floods, thousands of houses in the four communes of Nam Phuoc, Duy Xuyen, Thu Bon and Duy Nghia were flooded to a depth of 1-3m. The Civil Defense Command of the communes organized support and evacuated hundreds of households from low-lying areas to safety.
In particular, heavy rains caused serious erosion of the Duy Nghia embankment with a length of 2.2km, threatening the lives of more than 500 households in Thuan An and An Luong villages. Meanwhile, the Thu Bon river bank flowing through Tinh Yen village (Thu Bon commune) also suffered serious erosion, affecting 20 households in group 11.

In addition, the floods caused at least 50 hectares of winter vegetables to be flooded and severely damaged. Irrigation systems, pumping stations, canals, embankments, roads, slopes, and bridge piers were severely damaged, causing hundreds of billions of VND in damage, with Duy Xuyen commune alone accounting for 41.5 billion VND.
