Nha Trang Expressway temporarily closed.

On June 17th, Son Hai Group announced that the Ministry of Transport will hold the inauguration ceremony for the Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway project at 3 PM on June 18th.

The inauguration ceremony for the Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway will be held tomorrow, June 18th.

According to Mr. Nguyen Van Huy, Director of Nha Trang - Cam Lam Expressway Investment Company Limited, in order for the inauguration ceremony to be successful, the Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway will be temporarily closed from 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM on June 18th.

"The Ministry of Transport will hold simultaneous inauguration ceremonies for the Nha Trang - Cam Lam and Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressways from two online connection points in Binh Thuan and Khanh Hoa provinces, with the participation of Party and State leaders. A live LED screen will be installed on the expressway, so vehicles will temporarily travel on National Highway 1," Mr. Huy informed.

According to the Ministry of Transport, the inauguration ceremony at the main location in Binh Thuan will be held at Km1604+700 of the Vinh Hao - Phan Thiet expressway project (intersecting with National Highway 1) in Vinh Hao commune, Tuy Phong district.

The bridgehead in Khanh Hoa is located at Km33+800 of the Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway, in Cam Hiep Nam commune, Cam Lam district.

The Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway will be temporarily closed from 6:00 AM to 12:00 AM on June 18th.

To organize the inauguration ceremony, the Ministry of Transport requested the local authorities to coordinate with the Ministry, the relevant Project Management Board, and the investor to ensure logistical support. At the same time, it directed the provincial authorities to implement plans to ensure safety, security, traffic management, medical services , fire prevention and control, and to ensure the power supply in the event area. It also requested permission for the event organizer to operate unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) for filming and photographing the ceremony.

The Ministry of Transport also requested the Traffic Police Department to coordinate with the Project Management Boards and relevant provincial authorities to implement traffic diversion plans during the ceremony.

The Nha Trang - Cam Lam expressway, over 49 km long, commenced construction in September 2021 with a total cost of over 7,600 billion VND. The project has four lanes, starting in Dien Tho commune, Dien Khanh district, and ending in Cam Thinh Tay commune, Cam Ranh city. The project utilized many modern construction technologies and was completed three months ahead of schedule.

The Vinh Hao – Phan Thiet expressway, which commenced construction in late September 2020, is 100.8 km long, starting in Vinh Hao commune, Tuy Phong district and ending in Ham Kiem commune, Ham Thuan Nam district, Binh Thuan province. The route has a cross-section of 4 lanes for two-way traffic, with a total investment of 10,853 billion VND.
