Temporarily stop receiving visitors to the famous Mang Den waterfall

Due to the impact of prolonged heavy rain causing landslides, high water levels washing away and damaging infrastructure, Pa Sy waterfall tourist site in Mang Den commune, Quang Ngai province temporarily stopped receiving visitors to ensure safety.

On November 25, the People's Committee of Mang Den commune said that the prolonged heavy rain caused landslides, washed away many construction items, causing serious damage to the infrastructure at the Pa Sy waterfall tourist site. Accordingly, the heavy rain caused rocks and soil to slide down the stream, filling up many sections of the stream. Some forest trees fell, blocking the path and hindering traffic, posing a potential safety risk to tourists.

In order to serve the work of overcoming the consequences and ensuring safety for people and tourists, Mang Den Commune Public Service Center announced the temporary suspension of operations at Pa Sy waterfall tourist site until further notice.

"In the short term, the commune will use its reserve fund to handle the flow and repair the damaged bridge section. In the long term, it will report and propose to the Provincial People's Committee to support the overall repair costs. The tourist site will reopen after completing the repair work," said the leader of the Mang Den Commune People's Committee.

On November 24, Vice Chairman of Quang Ngai Provincial People's Committee Do Tam Hien personally inspected the landslide scene at Pa Sy waterfall area. Here, Mr. Hien requested Mang Den commune and related units to urgently clear the flow, handle landslides and deploy solutions to ensure the safety of tourism infrastructure. At the same time, he requested an overall assessment of the extent of damage and coordination with related departments and branches to propose appropriate solutions as soon as possible.

Pa Sy waterfall is known as one of the typical destinations of Mang Den, attracting many tourists thanks to its natural landscape and cool climate. The temporary suspension of operations is necessary to ensure safety and restore the landscape after the natural disaster.
