Temporarily seized more than 2,000 bottles of wine and 3 tanks of edible alcohol

The Economic Police Department (Provincial Police) has just temporarily seized more than 2,000 bottles of wine of various capacities and 3 tanks of food-grade alcohol at a beverage production facility in the area for further handling according to the provisions of law.

Previously, on June 2, this unit inspected the production facility in Hoa Xuan Tay Ward (Dong Hoa Town) of Viet Han International Beverage Joint Stock Company; discovered that the facility produced 8 types of alcohol not listed in the industrial alcohol production license and food safety certificate issued by the competent state agency.

At the time of inspection, the enterprise had a self-declaration table for 9 products but had not provided the accompanying wine product testing results; had not published on the updated food safety data information system or submitted the self-declaration of the product to the competent state agency as prescribed. The enterprise had not presented the self-declarations of 3 products: Vietnamese Rice Wine, Apple Rum, and Ngu Luong Tuu Wine in accordance with regulations; the production address printed on the labels of Vietnamese Rice Wine and Ngu Luong Tuu Wine was not true to reality; the production area did not collect and treat waste and garbage...
