The parties discussed and signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) on the import of animal feed ingredients from Ohio, with the total value of the signed MoUs reaching more than 600 million USD.
In addition, many Vietnamese businesses have also connected with Ohio state partners to promote the import of items such as raw wood, fruit and meat.
Ohio is the second stop on a working trip to the US from June 1-7 of a delegation from the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment and agricultural associations and businesses led by Minister of Agriculture and Environment Do Duc Duy.
Also on June 4, Minister of Agriculture and Environment Do Duc Duy had a working session with Ohio State Secretary of Agriculture Brian Baldridge.
Previously on June 2, Vietnamese businesses and associations and the US state of Iowa signed five Memorandums of Understanding with a total value of about 800 million USD over three years.
It is expected that the delegation of 50 Vietnamese agricultural enterprises accompanying Minister Do Duc Duy to the US this time will sign Memorandums of Understanding to purchase agricultural products from the US with a total value of more than 2 billion USD.
