Ms. Tran Thi Binh, Vice President of the Provincial Women's Union, said that this is a project funded by the Australian Government , implemented from September 2024 to 2027, to help raise awareness and change the behavior of members and people in living in an environmentally friendly way.
During the implementation period in Hoa Hiep Trung ward, the Project Management Board organized 3 specialized training courses, attracting 85 participants. The courses focused on waste classification at source, organic waste treatment with IMO microorganisms, and integrated action messages through the communication campaign "Green living - Act now!" with nearly 100 delegates attending. The project also provided 33 two-compartment trash cans for people to classify waste at home, 20 compost bins, installed 10 "Green Houses" to store recyclable waste in residential areas and 12 solar lights in Phu Tho 3 neighborhood. In particular, the establishment of a community monitoring team consisting of women's association members has helped to promote and guide waste classification at source to be implemented more effectively and sustainably.
Ms. Hoang Thi Le Hang, Chief Representative of APHEDA in Vietnam, happily shared that the project received positive response from the government and people of Hoa Hiep Trung, contributing to effectively spreading environmental protection work in the locality. Photo: NGOC QUYNH |
