In 2005, after graduating from a vocational school specializing in economics , Mr. Nguyen Truong Chinh was assigned to work in Thuong Trach commune, a border area inhabited mostly by the Bru-Van Kieu ethnic minority, as a civil servant in the Office of Statistics. In his early days there, Mr. Chinh faced numerous difficulties and challenges due to poor road conditions, difficult living conditions, and many outdated customs and traditions. Therefore, in addition to his professional duties, he frequently took the time to visit the community to understand their lives and familiarize himself with their customs and traditions.
To fulfill his assigned duties, Mr. Chinh continuously studied to improve his professional skills and expertise. Through his own efforts and the support of the leaders of Thuong Trach commune, in 2013, Mr. Chinh graduated from university with a degree in agricultural economics, and in 2018, he earned a master's degree.
Previously, in 2015, Mr. Nguyen Truong Chinh was elected Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thuong Trach commune, in charge of the economic sector. In his new position, he consistently incorporated "Studying and following the thoughts, ethics, and style of Ho Chi Minh" as one of the contents for educating public service ethics, enhancing the sense of responsibility and the spirit of serving the people among local government officials and civil servants.
To date, Thuong Trach commune has received assistance from all 18 communes and towns in the district. These communes and towns have implemented 223 projects, models, and initiatives, with a total value of over 3.6 billion VND. These projects and initiatives within the model of effective mass mobilization are yielding practical results and spreading widely, not only helping poor households and villages overcome difficulties and improve their lives, but also contributing to strengthening the bond between the Party and the people.
He also directly supervised and assigned officials and civil servants in the commune to participate in and directly implement the "Party members staying close to ethnic minority households" model. Over time, the model has gradually changed perceptions, labor and production methods, and encouraged proactive progress; eliminating outdated customs and building a new cultural lifestyle in the community. As a result, households such as Mrs. Y Mi, Mr. Dinh Ngoc, Mr. Dinh Kho... have been able to create vegetable gardens around their houses and build pens for raising black ducks and local pigs.
Mr. Nguyen Truong Chinh himself directly led and guided the people in building socio-economic development models and poverty reduction programs, such as: planting acacia forests in Niu village; planting replacement forests in Troi and Con Roang villages; raising black ducks in Noong Cu, Co Do, 61, and Cham Pu villages; raising native pigs in Khe Rung, Ban, and Con Roang villages…
In addition, he utilized support from charitable organizations to provide breeding cattle to poor households with particularly difficult circumstances to develop production and gradually escape poverty. To date, many families have risen out of poverty, such as Mr. Dinh Vo in Khe Rung village, Mr. Dinh Hung in Ca Roong 1 village, Mr. Dinh Duong in Co Do village, and Ms. Y Chay in But village…
For his contributions to local activities and emulation movements, Mr. Nguyen Truong Chinh has received numerous commendations and certificates of merit from various levels and sectors. In particular, the Party Committee and the government of Thuong Trach commune highly appreciate his competence and prestige in fulfilling his assigned responsibilities. Furthermore, his image as an enthusiastic, responsible, and dedicated leader serving the local people has become familiar and respected by the villagers, who look up to him as an example.
