Mr. Bui Van Tieng, Chairman of the Union of Literature and Arts Associations of Da Nang, presented two valuable photos of Hoang Sa to Mr. Vo Ngoc Dong, Chairman of the People's Committee of Hoang Sa district, Da Nang city.
The two precious photos presented this time were collected at the National Archives Center II - Ho Chi Minh City. The first photo captures the scene of the security force arresting Chinese fishermen who violated Vietnam's sovereignty at Quang Hoa Island in the Hoang Sa archipelago in 1959.
The second photo taken at Da Nang port on February 26, 1959 captures the scene where the Republic of Vietnam government decided to release Chinese fishermen who illegally entered the Paracel Islands at Da Nang port on February 24, 1959.
Also at the ceremony, the Da Nang City Historical Science Association presented the latest issue of Quang Nam Historical Research publication with 4 research articles on Hoang Sa.
These are new and valuable documents about Hoang Sa, which are one of the evidences affirming Vietnam's sovereignty over Hoang Sa archipelago. These two valuable photos will be displayed at Hoang Sa Exhibition House, Da Nang city.
