Giving 79 gifts to policy families and fishermen in difficult circumstances

This afternoon, January 8, at Trieu An commune, Trieu Phong district, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 coordinated with the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Committee to organize the island Tet program, welcoming the year of the Dragon 2024; visiting and giving gifts to policy families and fishermen in difficult circumstances in the province.

At the program, representatives of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command and the Provincial Party Committee's Mass Mobilization Commission visited, encouraged and presented 79 gifts, worth 1 million VND/gift, including gifts and cash to policy families and fishermen in difficult circumstances in Trieu An commune.

Colonel Tran Hong Que said that on this occasion, the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 has been implementing the program "Coast Guard accompanies fishermen"; the mass mobilization work "Coast Guard with ethnic and religious compatriots" associated with the activities of "Island Tet" and the program "Strong frontline, strong rear" that the Command of Coast Guard Region 2 has signed with the Mass Mobilization Committee of Quang Tri Provincial Party Committee.

According to the plan, in addition to the 79 gifts given on this occasion, the unit will continue to give 21 gifts to 21 fishing households in Con Co island district. Although the gifts are not large in material terms, they contain the feelings, love, care and sharing of the officers and soldiers of the Coast Guard Region 2 Command to the families of policy beneficiaries and fishermen in difficult circumstances with the hope that they will ease some of their difficulties and welcome a new spring with joy and warmth.
