According to Dong Thap Provincial Party Committee, in recent days, due to the impact of storm No. 3 (Wipha), heavy rain, thunderstorms, and strong winds have occurred in the province, causing significant damage to property and crops, directly affecting people's lives, activities, and production. In the face of the above situation, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee requested Party committees at all levels, authorities, the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee, and socio-political organizations of the province to focus on leading and directing the implementation of the contents.
Authorities help people overcome the consequences caused by storms and tornadoes.
Accordingly, the Party Committees under the Provincial Party Committee strengthen leadership and direction of local Party Committees and authorities to proactively monitor the weather and natural disasters, prepare response plans, overcome damage, and help people quickly stabilize their housing and lives. Localities with people suffering damage proactively count the damage and take timely support measures. At the same time, promptly review, count, and promptly report to the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee (through the Provincial Party Committee Office) the damage situation and solutions and results of the remediation in the morning of July 25; strictly implement the quick reporting regime for information arising and unexpected in the locality so that the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee can promptly guide and direct the handling.
The Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee's leaders directed specialized agencies to closely coordinate with local authorities to implement measures to overcome consequences, restore production, ensure traffic safety and people's lives. The Department of Finance presided over and coordinated with relevant sectors to urgently advise and propose solutions to support people in overcoming consequences of natural disasters, ensuring timeliness and compliance with regulations.
The Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations of the province promptly organized activities to visit, encourage, support and care for affected households; continue to mobilize agencies, organizations, businesses, individuals and the whole society to promote the tradition of solidarity, mutual love and mutual assistance, "the rich help the poor", join hands to support affected families and individuals to overcome difficulties.
