Strengthening the management and use of national reserves to respond to rain and floods

The Prime Minister has just issued Official Dispatch No. 226/CD-TTg on strengthening the management and use of national reserve goods to support and respond to rain and floods in the Central region.

The State Reserve Department supports provinces in preventing and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters.

Telegrams sent to the Ministers of: National Defense, Public Security, Finance, Agriculture and Environment, Health; Provincial Party Secretaries, Municipal Party Committees, Chairmen of People's Committees of provinces and cities: Ha Tinh, Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, Lam Dong.

To strengthen the management, issuance and use of national reserve goods to support people in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, stabilizing their lives and preventing epidemics after floods, the Prime Minister requested: The Ministry of Finance to preside over the review of national reserve goods, meeting the requirements for immediate issuance in sudden and urgent situations; synthesizing local needs to immediately decide on the issuance of support and relief, ensuring promptness, timeliness, correct objects, types, quantities, quality and reaching people in affected areas as soon as possible.

The Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Public Security shall preside over and coordinate the review of national reserve goods under their management, proactively issue them to support localities in overcoming the consequences of natural disasters, search and rescue, and rescue; mobilize forces and means to participate in transportation, preservation and distribution to isolated and deeply flooded areas...

The Prime Minister requested the People's Committees of provinces and centrally run cities to proactively report accurately and fully on their needs so that they can be promptly considered for issuance and support according to regulations; receive, manage and use for the right purposes and subjects; support people quickly, promptly, publicly and transparently, absolutely not allowing negativity, loss or waste to occur...
