In line with the world trend, domestic gold prices opened the first morning session of the week (March 31) with a strong increase, surpassing the 101 million VND mark.
At 9:00 a.m., Saigon Jewelry Company; Doji and Phu Quy listed the buying and selling prices of SJC gold in the range of VND99.20-101.20 million/tael, an increase of VND500,000/tael compared to the previous closing price.
Meanwhile, the price of gold rings also increased, in which Phu Quy Company added 500,000 VND/tael, the listed price of gold rings was from 99.20-101.20 million VND/tael.
At Bao Tin Minh Chau Company, the company adjusted the price of plain round gold rings to the threshold of 98.90-100.90 million VND/tael (buy/sell), remaining stable compared to the previous session's close.
Last week, the price of gold increased sharply, with the adjustment of the price of gold rings increasing by 2.5 million VND/tael and SJC gold also increasing by about 3.3 million VND/tael.
In the world, this precious metal fluctuated around 3,092 USD/ounce this morning, up more than 12 USD compared to the same time last session. This price is equivalent to 95.95 million VND/tael when converted according to the USD exchange rate at Vietcombank .
This morning, the State Bank listed the central exchange rate on March 31 at 24,837 VND/USD, down 6 VND compared to the end of last week.
With a margin of +/-5%, Vietcombank announced from 25,400-25,760 VND. Vietinbank traded from 25,395-25,755 VND/USD (buy/sell), remaining stable compared to the closing price of last weekend. Similarly, Agribank traded from 25,400-25,740 VND/USD (buy/sell), unchanged.
However, BIDV Bank bought at 25,400 VND/USD and sold at 25,760 VND/USD, up 5 VND./.
