The magazine Nguoi Ha Noi, formerly known as the publication "Creating Hanoi" of the Hanoi Literature and Arts Association (now the Hanoi Literature and Arts Association), was published in 1967. On May 8, 1985, the Hanoi People's Committee decided to establish Nguoi Ha Noi Newspaper - the mouthpiece of the Hanoi Literature and Arts Association.
The first editor-in-chief of Nguoi Ha Noi Newspaper was writer To Hoai - a "giant tree" of Vietnamese literature. After that, the newspaper continued to be led by prestigious artists and journalists such as: Bang Viet, Phan Thi Thanh Nhan, Vu Quan Phuong, Nguyen Anh Bien, Ho Xuan Son, Be Kien Quoc, Vu Xuan Hoat, Dao Xuan Hung, Vuong Minh Hue.

Hanoi People also has the collaboration of many famous artists, contributing to creating a mark for the newspaper, gradually affirming its position as a prestigious literary and artistic forum of the capital. In 2021, Hanoi People Newspaper transformed its operating model into Hanoi People Magazine, with many new developments.
Over the past 40 years, Nguoi Hanoi has always played a good role as the mouthpiece of the Hanoi Literature and Arts Association, a forum for Hanoi artists and writers, a place to introduce the fruits of creative labor, exchange academic knowledge, and criticize literature and art. Many valuable works have been published in the magazine, many literary names have been "taken wing" from here, many major issues of the country's culture and art have been discussed enthusiastically in the publication...
Not only vividly reflecting the literary and artistic life, Hanoians also contributes to shaping aesthetics, improving the spiritual life of the public; at the same time, actively propagating the political tasks of the city, contributing to the cause of building Hanoian culture in the integration period, spreading the cultural values of the capital.

In addition to the monthly printed magazine, Nguoi Ha Noi Magazine also develops strongly on the electronic platform at http://www.nguoihanoi.vn to reach out to young readers and international readers. The editorial office is gradually implementing digital transformation, building a "converged editorial office" model in line with the development trend of modern journalism.
Speaking at the ceremony, journalist Vuong Minh Hue, Editor-in-Chief of Nguoi Ha Noi Magazine emphasized: “The journey of the past 40 years is a solid foundation for Nguoi Ha Noi Magazine to confidently enter a new stage of development. Continuing the achievements that generations of literary and artistic journalists in the capital have worked hard to build, the collective of cadres, reporters and editors of the magazine today will continue to promote the spirit of solidarity and constant creativity so that Nguoi Ha Noi will develop more and more, worthy of being the voice of the capital's artists, a bridge to spread humanistic values to the public, actively contributing to the cause of developing Hanoi culture".

At the ceremony, authorized by the President, Standing Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee Nguyen Van Phong awarded the Second Class Labor Medal to Hanoi People Magazine.
Speaking at the ceremony, Permanent Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Le Hong Son emphasized that in the proud 40-year journey, Hanoi People Magazine has always known how to renew itself, always ready to adapt to better fulfill the mission of the capital's literary and artistic magazine.

With its central position and role in the country, the Party Committee, government and people of Hanoi always strive to build, protect and develop the "Cultured - Civilized - Modern" Capital, worthy of the trust and hope of the Vietnamese people and international friends.
Comrade Le Hong Son emphasized that, on the journey to carry out the honorable and extremely heavy tasks of the Capital, in the coming time, the press in general and Hanoi People Magazine in particular need to create for themselves a position and a worthy name.

The Standing Vice Chairman of the City People's Committee suggested that the press should approach modern trends, digital transformation, and combine media to convey traditional values, the quintessence of the capital's literature and art; the beauty of Hanoians to preserve, promote and spread the pride and aspiration to develop the capital.
Along with that, comrade Le Hong Son also requested that the press in general and Hanoi People Magazine in particular must effectively participate in the development of the capital's cultural industry.
Comrade Le Hong Son said that the Hanoi Literature and Arts Association and the Hanoi People Magazine continue to be a warm and trustworthy home for generations of artists in the capital, a place to create creative values so that the capital can truly be a creative design center in the UNESCO creative network. This is a place to attract, train and nurture young writers; a place to promote young talents, to approach the region and the world, so that the capital can become a Globally Connected City by 2045 as the goal set in Resolution No. 15-NQ/TW dated May 5, 2022 of the Politburo.

On this occasion, the City People's Committee awarded Certificates of Merit to 5 collectives and individuals; the Hanoi Literature and Arts Association awarded Certificates of Merit to 10 collectives and individuals of Hanoi People Magazine for their outstanding achievements in performing their tasks.
