Korean Doosan Group spends another 120 million USD to expand factory in Hai Duong

The project of Doosan Group (Korea) in Hai Duong is to expand the factory producing flexible cable printed circuit boards and components of battery management systems for electric vehicles; to exercise the right to export/import/wholesale related to the above products according to current laws and regulations. The total additional investment capital is expected to be 120 million USD.

Doosan Group has invested 300 million in a factory in Vietnam and has participated in many coal and wind power projects in Vietnam.

Last year, South Korea invested nearly 5 billion USD in Vietnam, but in the first 5 months of the year, it was only over 666 million USD.

Hai Duong currently has 492 foreign direct investment (FDI) projects from 26 countries and territories with a total registered investment capital of over 9.2 billion USD. Of these, there are 134 investment projects from Korea with a total investment capital of over 1.4 billion USD, ranking first in the number of investment projects (leading in both the number of new projects (accounting for 17.4%), the number of capital adjustments (accounting for 25.2%) and capital contributions, share purchases (accounting for 28.5%)) and ranking third in total FDI capital in Hai Duong.

Investment projects of Korean enterprises are mainly in the fields of electricity, electronics, molds, logistics services, garments...

Of which, Dai An Industrial Park has attracted 97 projects with a total investment capital of about 3 billion USD, of which Korean enterprises account for over 37%. This is the industrial park with the largest number of Korean enterprises investing in the province.
