Training on gender equality for 420 people

From November 6 to 18, Cam An Commune Women's Union organized 5 training courses on the contents of Project 8 "Implementing gender equality and solving urgent issues for women and children" for 420 members, women, village elders, dignitaries, and prestigious people in the community in the commune.

Accordingly, the association has deployed training on the following contents: Eliminating gender stereotypes and cultural practices that are harmful to women and children; skills to detect, speak up and support victims of violence in the community; communication work on enhancing the rights, voice and participation of ethnic minority women; legal education related to women, children and gender equality; equipping members with knowledge of gender equality and gender mainstreaming skills. Thereby, helping members and women improve their knowledge and skills on gender equality; preventing and combating domestic violence; legal regulations on marriage and family, rights and obligations of women and children. At the same time, improving communication skills, mobilizing and participating in contributing opinions in community activities; eliminating gender stereotypes and prejudices...

Many contents on gender equality have been informed and propagated at training courses.

In the coming time, the association will continue to maintain training and communication activities to promote gender equality and build a safe and friendly environment for women and children.
