Training on greenhouse gas emission reduction in agriculture

BBK - On May 20 and 21, the FFF II Program Management Board and the Farmers' Association of Bac Kan province organized a training course on measures to reduce greenhouse gas emissions in agriculture for officials of the Department of Agriculture and Environment, the Farmers' Association, cooperatives, and cooperative groups in the region implementing the Forest and Farm Support Program II in Ba Be, Cho Moi, and Cho Don districts.

At the training course, the trainees were discussed by lecturers from the Institute of Agricultural Environment, Vietnam Academy of Agricultural Sciences about the current situation of climate change and its impact on agricultural production; the current situation of land and issues related to agricultural land management; green, circular agricultural cultivation; introduction of smart models adapting to climate change; building appropriate value chain models in Bac Kan... At the same time, this was also an opportunity for trainees to exchange and share difficulties and experiences in the production process.

Through the training course, trainees will be able to raise awareness and grasp practical knowledge and skills in reducing greenhouse gas emissions from agricultural activities; and approach environmentally friendly farming methods. Thereby, contributing to helping cadres, cooperatives, and cooperative groups effectively apply them in production practices, both improving productivity and quality of agricultural products, while ensuring sustainable agricultural development and better adaptation to climate change./.
