Training on “Learning through Play” for nearly 500 primary school teachers

On August 6, the provincial Department of Education and Training organized a professional training conference on "Learning through play" under the iPLAY project, for nearly 500 officials and teachers from 244 primary education institutions in the province.

iPLAY is a project integrating "Learning through play" activities at the primary level, implemented in Son La province from 2019 to present. This is a positive educational approach, helping primary school students develop simultaneously physical, emotional - social, creative and critical thinking skills, giving students many opportunities to experience, explore, interact and solve problems, thereby forming the necessary capacity and qualities, meeting the requirements of the 2018 General Education Program.

Teachers exchange professional experiences at the training program.

At the program, students were introduced to an overview of learning through play and its role in general education; types of learning through play and how to organize it in the classroom; learned methods of applying learning through play techniques in teaching; shared practical experiences and practiced learning through play.

Through the training program, teachers will be equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to meet teaching tasks in the new school year 2025 - 2026, effectively implementing the goal of taking learners as the center and increasing students' autonomy in the learning process according to the orientation of the 2018 General Education Program.
