Training on implementing the 2025 nutrition improvement sub-project

BAC NINH - On November 24, at the Lich Son Village Cultural House, the Department of Culture and Society of Cam Ly Commune (Bac Ninh) coordinated with Bac Ninh Center for Disease Control No. 1 to organize a training course on implementing sub-project 2 "improving nutrition" under project 3 of the National Target Program on Sustainable Poverty Reduction by 2025.

Participating in the training course, trainees who are village health workers and school health officers were instructed by the Nutrition Department staff (Bac Ninh Center for Disease Control No. 1) on weighing and measuring techniques, how to determine anthropometric indicators and methods to assess nutritional status in children from 0 to under 16 years old; the process of implementing micronutrient support and monitoring intervention results in villages and schools.

In addition to the theory, students practice directly and discuss difficulties in implementation at the facility.

By 2025, Cam Ly commune aims to have 90% of malnourished children under 16 years old from poor, near-poor and newly escaped poverty households in the area supplemented with micronutrients. At the same time, it will strengthen activities of nutritional care consultation in the first 1,000 days of life, periodic deworming and school nutrition communication.

Through the training course, the village health team and school health officers have a firm grasp of professional processes, synchronously deploy solutions, contributing to improving children's stature and physical strength and effectively implementing the goal of sustainable poverty reduction.
