Focus on preparing carefully for the 2025 High School Graduation Exam

Attending the meeting were representatives of leaders of departments, branches, units and localities assigned by the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee to participate in the Steering Committee for the 2025 Provincial High School Graduation Exam.

At the meeting, the leaders of the Departmentof Education and Training (DET) - the standing agency of the Steering Committee reported on the preparations for the upcoming graduation exam. Accordingly, the whole province has a total of 36,758 candidates registered for the exam, including 28,932 high school candidates and 7,826 continuing education candidates. The whole province will have 62 graduation exam sites, including official and backup in the districts, Bien Hoa city and Long Khanh.

It is expected that 5,600 teachers will be mobilized to invigilate the exams, nearly 320 officials will be in charge of exam site leadership and exam site secretaries. In addition, many other forces will be mobilized to perform exam inspection, medical , security and order, logistics tasks, etc.

This year's high school graduation exam has many new features, including the first time the exam is organized according to the new 2018 general education program, while still maintaining the organization of the exam according to the old 2006 general education program, for independent candidates. The exam takes place at a time when the whole province is focusing on the work of arranging the 2-level government apparatus, there is no longer an inspector of the Department of Education and Training, no longer a district-level police force, so the coordination work needs to be calculated reasonably.

In addition, ensuring absolute safety for the exam must be enhanced, especially to prevent cheating using high-tech devices that are increasingly sophisticated and complicated, and the risk of outbreaks of Covid-19 and dengue fever.

Speaking at the meeting, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung highly appreciated the Department of Education and Training for organizing the high school graduation mock exam, thereby promptly adjusting the work of supporting students to review in the remaining time before the exam.

Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Son Hung suggested that the Department of Education and Training urgently work with the Department of Finance to ensure funding for organizing the exam and support teachers in reviewing for students, and continue to direct schools to strengthen solutions to support students in reviewing for exams to achieve high results.

The Department of Education and Training needs to continue to closely coordinate with departments, branches, units, localities and schools selected as exam sites to prepare well in terms of facilities according to the exam regulations. Pay more attention to exam sites at risk of flooding during heavy rains or floods.

In particular, the Department of Education and Training must closely coordinate with the Provincial Police to prepare and ensure absolute safety for the test printing and copying locations, the transportation, handover and preservation of test papers, exam papers, and grading.
