Focus on promoting disbursement of public investment capital for key projects

Vice Chairman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy gave a speech at the meeting.

At the meeting, leaders of Chau Thanh, Thoai Son, Cho Moi districts; Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism, Departmentof Education and Training; Oc Eo Cultural Relic Management Board reported on the results of disbursement of public investment capital. At the same time, together with leaders of departments and branches, they discussed solutions to remove difficulties and obstacles to speed up the disbursement of public investment capital in the coming time.

Vice Chairwoman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy commented that although departments, branches and localities must promote responsibility, focus on leadership, direction and drastic implementation of public investment disbursement, the disbursement rate of the 2025 public investment plan of the units managed by Inspection Team No. 3 only reached 5.11%, lower than the average of the province (13.46%) and the whole country (15.56%)...

In order to strive to achieve the target of 100% disbursement of public investment capital in 2025 as directed by the Prime Minister , Vice Chairwoman of An Giang Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Thi Minh Thuy requested departments, localities and investors to focus on leading, directing and organizing the drastic and effective implementation of solutions to accelerate the disbursement of public investment capital in conjunction with the work of rewarding and encouraging contractors and construction units to perform well; at the same time, resolutely handle contractors and construction units that violate the contract. Heads of agencies and units must promote responsibility, closely monitor, flexibly inspect, grasp the situation, clearly identify difficulties, obstacles and causes of slow disbursement of each specific project to promptly direct solutions.

Departments and branches promote administrative procedure reform, shorten the time for processing documents; closely coordinate with localities and investors to process documents and procedures as soon as possible. Localities, according to their authority, especially the difficulties in site clearance and timely supply of sand and stone materials for each project. Strengthen on-site inspection and supervision, urge contractors and consultants to speed up the implementation progress and disbursement of projects, focusing on key works and projects...
