Westerdam cruise ship brings 2,000 passengers to Nha Trang on the last day of 2023

On December 31, the luxury cruise ship Westerdam (owned by the famous Holland America Line) arrived in Nha Trang on its journey to visit Vietnam. This time, the Westerdam brought about 2,000 passengers, most of whom were Dutch nationals. The ship's schedule was from Thailand - Phu My Port (Ba Ria - Vung Tau) - Nha Trang - Da Nang - Quang Ninh.

After arriving in Nha Trang City, tourists took the following tours: sightseeing in Nha Trang (Po Nagar Tower, Long Son Pagoda, Dam Market, taking photos of Nha Trang Cathedral); cyclo tour around the coastal city (following the route Tran Phu - Le Thanh Ton - Thai Nguyen - Tran Duong - Yersin - Tran Phu Bridge - Yen Sao Park - Dam Market); cooking tour (visiting Xom Moi market and learning to cook at Dua Moc restaurant, Vinh Ngoc commune)... Previously, on December 29, the international cruise ship Celebrity Solstice (belonging to Royal Caribbean Cruise Lines) brought over 3,000 guests from the US, Canada, UK, Australia... to Nha Trang. According to Khanh Hoa Department of Tourism, since the beginning of 2023, Khanh Hoa has welcomed 25 cruise ships with nearly 46,000 visitors ashore.

In 2023, Khanh Hoa tourism industry has recovered and grown strongly. During the year, the whole province welcomed more than 7 million overnight guests, an increase of 181.6% compared to 2022; of which international visitors were more than 2.4 million, an increase of 8 times compared to 2022. Tourism revenue was nearly 32,000 billion VND, an increase of 142.8% compared to 2022.
