Detained fishing boat transporting DO oil without invoice, worth 1.3 billion VND

Team 2 - Anti-smuggling Investigation Department (Customs Department) presided over and coordinated with Coast Guard Region 3 to detect, inspect, and arrest a fishing boat transporting about 75m3 of suspected DO oil, stored in 2 cargo holds worth 1.3 billion VND.

On May 31, the Customs Department said that during a patrol on the sea area from Da Nang to Ninh Thuan, combined with professional information, at 10:30 a.m. on May 29, Team 2 - Anti-smuggling Investigation Department, in coordination with Coast Guard Region 3, discovered, inspected and arrested fishing vessel TH-91658-TS owned by Mr. Le Van Dung, transporting about 75m3 of suspected DO oil, stored in 2 cargo holds.

According to the captain's statement, the above goods were transported on a fishing boat without any documents or invoices proving their legal origin. The value of the illegal shipment is estimated at about 1.3 billion VND.

Currently, the Customs authority is continuing to handle the case according to regulations.
