Tay Ninh: Many Buddhists and tourists welcome Buddha's relics

On the afternoon of May 8, the Vesak 2025 delegation and thousands of Buddhists gathered at the Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area to welcome and worship Buddha's relics and attend a series of solemn rituals within the framework of the United Nations Vesak Festival - Vesak 2025.

According to SGGP reporters, from early afternoon of the same day, the Buddha's relics departed from the Vietnam Buddhist Academy (HCMC) and arrived at Ba Den Mountain. Thousands of delegates and Buddhists followed to welcome and worship the Buddha's relics from the foot of the mountain to the top of the mountain and enshrined them at the Buddhist Exhibition Center, part of the Sun World Ba Den Mountain tourist area.

On the same afternoon, at Bodhi Garden World on top of Ba Den Mountain, a ceremony to plant 108 Bodhi trees was also held, considered one of the meaningful activities of peace, connection and the sacred mark of the Vesak Festival.

As planned, on the evening of the same day, Vesak delegates will attend a candle lighting ceremony to pray for world peace at Tay Bo Da Son Square, where eminent monks and religious dignitaries from around the world will light candles symbolizing the light of wisdom and compassion and pray for a peaceful and happy world.

In Tay Ninh, pilgrimage activities at Ba Den Mountain National Tourist Area are expected to last from May 8 to 8:00 a.m. on May 13, 2025.
