Tay Ninh strives to be in the top 10 provinces in the country in terms of economic scale.

The first Congress of Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, term 2025-2030, took place from October 8-10, marking a historic turning point for the locality after the merger.

This is not only an important political event but also a pivotal moment - a "golden opportunity" for Tay Ninh to break through and affirm its position in the key economic region of the South.

With the spirit of innovation, creativity and aspiration to rise, the province aims to develop rapidly, strongly, dynamically and sustainably; striving to be among the top 10 localities in the country in terms of economic scale, growth rate, budget revenue and per capita income by 2030.

In the period of 2020-2025, the Party Committee and people of Tay Ninh (old) - Long An have achieved many outstanding results, creating a solid foundation for the new journey. The economy has grown rapidly, the structure has shifted towards high-tech industry-services-agriculture. The material and spiritual life of the people has been significantly improved; the appearance of urban and rural areas has changed positively, becoming civilized, modern, green-clean-beautiful. The development gap between urban and rural areas is increasingly narrowing. The provincial planning approved by the Prime Minister is a "strategic map" to help Tay Ninh proactively exploit potential, attract investment and develop synchronous infrastructure.

In recent years, infrastructure, especially transportation, has been heavily invested in, with convenient inter-regional connections, opening up new development space for industry and urban areas. Investment promotion has achieved many positive results, such as Long An being ranked in the top 10 localities attracting large enterprises in 2024; Tay Ninh becoming a dynamic destination in the tourism sector, attracting many multinational corporations and strategic investors.

Entering the new term, the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Congress set out 22 key development targets, clearly demonstrating the determination to make a breakthrough. In particular, the average economic growth rate in the 2025-2030 period will reach 10-10.5%/year; average income per capita will reach over 94 million VND; the state budget will increase by at least 50% compared to the previous term.

The province aims to have no more poor households by 2030; 90% of communes meeting new rural standards; and more than 80% of schools meeting national standards. The fields of culture, education, health, and environment continue to receive synchronous investment, aiming at comprehensive development and improving the quality of people's lives.

Sharing about the province's orientation, Mr. Vo Thanh Tu, Director of Hoa Thanh Long An One Member Limited Liability Company, said that the business community has great confidence in the province's development strategy. If they continue to invest in infrastructure, logistics and administrative reform, businesses will have more opportunities to expand production and contribute to the overall development.

Mr. Nguyen Quoc Trinh, Chairman of the Tay Ninh Province Dragon Fruit Association, also said that Tay Ninh has great advantages in high-tech agriculture and tourism. He hopes that the province will soon issue policies to encourage and promote products to improve competitiveness and expand the market.

The new rural development program is one of the highlights. Up to now, 82% of Tay Ninh communes have met the new rural standards. The appearance of the countryside has changed dramatically, infrastructure has been invested synchronously, people's lives have improved significantly, and the poverty rate is among the lowest in the country.

Ms. Dang Thi Bach Tuyet, a resident of Thu Thua commune, shared: "In recent times, people's lives have become more stable and their income has increased significantly. We hope that the State will continue to pay attention and simplify administrative procedures to make it easier for people to do business."

Youth Union member Nguyen Le Tien Thuan (Thu Thua commune) expressed that as the next generation of youth, we expect the Party and State to have more policies to support learning, employment, and entrepreneurship so that young people have the opportunity to contribute and grow up.

Tay Ninh Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Quyet affirmed: "This is the first Congress of the new province after the merger, which is of special importance. We are determined to make this Congress worthy of its stature, laying a solid foundation for stronger succession and development in the following terms."

According to the Secretary of the Tay Ninh Provincial Party Committee, the province will focus on effectively exploiting its existing potential and making breakthroughs in three key areas: industry, tourism and high-tech agriculture. In addition, the province will continue to improve the investment environment, promote digital transformation, improve the quality of human resources and strengthen regional connectivity to create a driving force for sustainable growth.

By 2030, Tay Ninh will not only be the center of industrial and tourism development in the Southeast region but also a locality with a desirable living environment, where every citizen can enjoy the fruits of the common development of their homeland.

With the existing foundation, along with faith, will and aspiration to rise up, Tay Ninh is opening a new journey - a journey of innovation, creativity, sustainable development, towards the goal of building a prosperous and happy life for the people./.
