Poetry collection "The person looking for the shape of the country" - a collection of good poems about Uncle Ho.

Explaining this, in “May Morning” and in “Following Uncle Ho’s Footsteps”, poet To Huu wrote: “ Ho Chi Minh / He is everywhere... / He is Father, Uncle, Brother / His big heart filters hundreds of red blood streams”, “Why? The earth is heavy with love / Always remembers his name: Ho Chi Minh / Like a belief, like courage / Like humanity, sacrifice”; in “Viet Bac Homeland”, poet Nguyen Dinh Thi wrote: “Here lives a man with white hair / He has no children but has millions / Our people call him Uncle / His whole life belongs to the country”; In “The One Who Changed My Life, The One Who Changed My Poetry”, poet Che Lan Vien wrote: “In my heart, Uncle Ho came a long time ago/ Uncle Ho is great but doesn’t surprise anyone/ One morning, looking into my heart, I saw Uncle Ho/ Tears streaming down, I felt so grateful”... In it, there are memorable verses that left a strong impression: “Ho Chi Minh/ He is everywhere”, “He has no children but has millions of children”, “Uncle Ho is great but doesn’t surprise anyone”...

The above works were born in Viet Bac, written in the 50s of the last century, still alive today, and one of them must be mentioned as "Tonight Uncle Ho did not sleep" by poet Minh Hue. By fully exploiting a sleepless night of Uncle Ho because of worrying about the people and the army during the resistance war against France, Minh Hue had a timeless poem: "Tonight Uncle Ho sat there/ Tonight Uncle Ho did not sleep/ For a common reason/ Uncle Ho is Ho Chi Minh".

Among the poets who wrote a lot about Uncle Ho, the first to mention is To Huu - the leading flag of revolutionary poetry - the great poet of the nation. This topic returned to him over and over again through many famous poems: "Ho Chi Minh", "May Morning", "We Go To", "Thirty Years of Our Life with the Party", "Tired Wings of the Bird", "Uncle Ho", "Following Uncle Ho's Foot"... He always devoted his heart to this topic with sincerity, with overflowing emotions and absolute faith. Uncle Ho's great love alone was enough for him to write verses with a comprehensive meaning, embracing through "Uncle Ho": "Oh, if only my heart could be at ease/ Five watches less burdened with love for life/ Uncle Ho! Uncle Ho's heart is so immense/ Embracing the whole country, all human lives".

After To Huu, we must mention Hai Nhu - who wrote more than 40 poems about President Ho Chi Minh, who always considered his works about President Ho Chi Minh as part of his poetic career. "We guard your sleep, Uncle Ho", "A Marxist is born", "A poem written in Sen village"... are considered his successful works. With great respect, Hai Nhu wrote poems dedicated to him when he entered eternity and became immortal in "We guard your sleep, Uncle Ho": "Let us walk lightly, more lightly/ Moon, moon, let us bow our heads silently/ Uncle Ho never slept peacefully all his life/ Now that Uncle is sleeping, we guard his sleep". With the same source of emotions, Thu Bon has "Sending my heart to my father", in which there are memorable verses: "There is a worker who built the Bronze Citadel/ Who rests in peace at the Red River, mother!/ I walk under the same sky/ In pain but still shining with faith". As for Vien Phuong, there is “Visiting Uncle Ho’s Mausoleum”, which was later composed into the song “Visiting Uncle Ho’s Mausoleum” by musician Hoang Hiep, which includes the following passage: “Every day the sun passes over the mausoleum/ Seeing a very red sun in the mausoleum/ Every day people walk in longing/ Making flower wreaths to offer the seventy-nine springs” and “Uncle lies in the mausoleum sleeping peacefully/ In the middle of a gentle bright moon/ Still knowing that the blue sky is forever/ But why does my heart ache?”

Among the many poems written about Uncle Ho by friends from all over the world, "Ho Chi Minh, His name is a whole poem" by Felix Pita Rodriguez (Cuba) is a unique poem because of its idea and also because the author explains that Uncle Ho's fate is closely linked to the fate of his nation, the fate of his people, to the point of flesh and blood, through an impressive way of speaking: "Because He was hungry for all the hungers of the past/ Because He died two million times in the terrible famine of 1945/ Because He wore every tattered shirt/ And walked barefoot with every pair of bare feet of the people of the country...".

The theme of President Ho Chi Minh and his noble and tolerant heart still inspires new works of poets to this day. In the years from 2021 to 2024, poet Huu Thinh has the long poem "Tan Trao Moon", poet Nguyen Ngoc Tung has "Learning from Uncle Ho, do a good deed every day", "Uncle Ho's words light up the homeland". In which, "Tan Trao Moon" is a lyrical epic about the relationship between leader Ho Chi Minh and his people.
