Dak Sing Waterfall is located about 60 km north of Kon Tum city center. Tourists travel along National Highway 40B to the People's Committee of Van Lem commune, then continue along a small concrete road for about 3 km to the parking area. From there, tourists begin walking into the forest.

The deeper we went, the more pristine the scenery became. The sounds of the forest trees, the birdsong, and the babbling stream blended together. After nearly 30 minutes of walking and descending over 200 steps through a cool bamboo forest, we reached the foot of the waterfall. And then, Dak Sing Waterfall appeared like a fairytale scene amidst the mountains and forests.

From a height of approximately 100 meters, water cascades down layers of rocks, creating a white stream against a backdrop of lush green. Misty patches around the base of the waterfall reflect the sunlight, forming a beautiful rainbow. The air here is cool and fresh, dispelling any fatigue from the journey.

Dak Sing Waterfall flows over many layers of rock.

Unlike many waterfalls that typically flow vertically, Dak Sing cascades in multiple tiers, its water winding through moss-covered rocks. At the foot of the waterfall lies a small, crystal-clear pool, clear enough to see the pebbles sparkling at the bottom. The surrounding vegetation is lush and green, from the trunks of forest trees to tiny ferns, all blending together in a symphony of the mountains and forests.

Dak Sing Waterfall also preserves the folk cultural memories of the local people, especially the Xe Dang ethnic group. Here, legendary stories have been passed down through generations, becoming an inseparable part of this place. One of the legends recounted by the people of Van Lem commune is the story of a mysterious cave near Dak Sing Waterfall: In the middle of Dak Sing Waterfall, there is a cave that connects to the peak of Co Chay Hill - the highest hill in Van Lem commune. In the old days, whenever there was an earthquake or a flood, the animals in the forest would hide in the cave, following this path to the hill to take refuge. Some villagers even claimed to have seen buffalo footprints on a rock near the cave entrance.

Although there are no scientific studies or official information verifying the existence of this cave, the legend continues to be told as an integral part of the land's soul, enriching the cultural identity of the Xê Đăng people here.

Another factor that makes Dak Sing waterfall unique is its pristine nature. Here, there are no tourist services, no noisy chatter or jarring electronic loudspeakers; only the sounds of the mountains and forests, the wind, the cascading waterfall, and the birds along the quiet stream banks. Dak Sing is like a sleeping princess in the forest.

Besides its tourism and ecological value, Dak Sing Waterfall also has great potential for environmental education and scientific research. Surrounded by a pristine forest ecosystem, this area is home to many rare bird species and endemic flora and fauna.
