Thai Binh grants investment registration certificate to Kien Giang New Urban Area Project

With a total investment of VND9,686 billion (nearly USD400 million), Kien Giang New Urban Area, Thai Binh City is the housing development project with the largest total investment capital ever granted an investment registration certificate by Thai Binh province.

On the afternoon of October 10, the People's Committee of Thai Binh province held a conference to award the Decision on investor approval and the Investment Registration Certificate for the Housing Development Project in Kien Giang New Urban Area, Thai Binh City.

The Kien Giang New Urban Area Housing Development Project is located in 3 wards: Ky Ba, Quang Trung, Tran Lam and 2 communes Vu Phuc, Vu Chinh of Thai Binh City, developed according to the new urban area model, synchronous technical and social infrastructure.

Mr. Nguyen Khac Than, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Committee of Thai Binh province, awarded the investment registration certificate to the consortium of investors.

The project has a total area of 96 hectares, with an investment capital of VND9,686 billion. Upon completion, the project will provide more than 1,400 townhouses, unfinished villas, 5 25-storey apartment buildings and 15-storey social housing. In addition, the project also reserves about 48,000 m2 of land for commercial and service works. The project is designed to ensure a comfortable, modern, sustainable living environment in harmony with nature. The investor consortium emphasizes high construction quality and urban planning with comprehensive features as the focus of this project, ensuring that Thai Binh can compete with other major urban centers in the region.

The investor granted the Decision on Investor Approval and Investment Registration Certificate is the DECV-THT-GIP LAND-ZUP Joint Venture, including: Daewoo Engineering & Construction Vietnam Co., Ltd., THT Development Co., Ltd., GIP Land Co., Ltd. and ZUP Invest Co., Ltd.

Representing the investor consortium, Mr. Kwon Soon Jae, General Director of Daewoo Engineering & Construction Vietnam Co., Ltd. affirmed: Being granted the investment registration certificate for the Kien Giang New Urban Area Housing Development Project is not only an important milestone for Daewoo Vina and all members of the consortium, but also a memorable start for the long-term development of the project.

The investor expressed his honor to accompany the province in the mission of urban development, implementing the development goals and viewpoints stated in the planning of Thai Binh province, including the viewpoint: Developing a modern, civilized, friendly, harmonious society, taking people as the center; closely combining economic development with cultural development and human development.

“Our vision is not only to develop a new urban area, but also to build a community where economic, social and environmental factors are developed synchronously. We focus on creating green spaces and recreational facilities, emphasizing the priority for sustainable development of Thai Binh City,” Mr. Kwon Soon Jae shared.

The representative of the investor consortium also pledged to strictly comply with the provisions of the law, coordinate with the competent authorities to fully implement the procedures on land environment, investment, construction, planning, real estate business; strive to implement the project and carry out compensation and site clearance procedures as quickly as possible. At the same time, build a smart, green, modern, energy-saving, environmentally friendly urban area, contributing to the early achievement of the criteria for a type I urban area under the province and bring sustainable values, not only for residents of the project but also for the community and future generations.

Congratulating the investor consortium, Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Khac Than affirmed that the decision to concretize the urban development goals of the province, aiming to successfully implement the Resolution of the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020 - 2025 and Resolution No. 03-NQ/TU, dated November 25, 2021 of the Provincial Party Executive Committee on building and developing Thai Binh City to 2030, with a vision to 2045.

In order for the project to be implemented soon in the field, the Chairman of the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee requested the joint venture of investors to carry out legal procedures, prepare sufficient resources, means, and human resources to implement the project synchronously in terms of infrastructure and architecture, creating widespread attraction, worthy of a green, civilized, modern urban area, meeting the needs of people inside and outside the province.

Highly appreciating the consortium of investors, headed by Daewoo Engineering & Construction Vietnam Co., Ltd. as an experienced, capable, and reputable investor, which has been confirmed through many large projects in Vietnam, the Chairman of the Thai Binh Provincial People's Committee affirmed that choosing Thai Binh City to implement the project was the right decision of the investor because Thai Binh is a bright spot in attracting investment with a modern and synchronous traffic infrastructure.

The Kien Giang New Urban Area Housing Development Project is a large-scale and total investment project, located in a prime location of Thai Binh City, contributing to the development of the province. Therefore, departments, branches and cities need to focus on doing a good job of site clearance; at the same time, direct resolutely, urgently, and have specific directions for project implementation; do a good job of propagating the significance and urban development scope of the project to gain consensus from the people in the process of site clearance as well as project implementation.
