This incident occurred in a friendly match between Thailand and India on the evening of June 4, a match that was intended to prepare for the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers. Thailand won 2-0 overall, but the focus was on their opening goal.
In the 7th minute, Thailand's Korawich Tasa kicked the ball straight at the Indian player's leg. This situation caused the orange player to lie on the ground in pain.
However, the Thai players continued to develop the ball and scored soon after by Ben Davis.
The goal was not illegal because Tasa had not previously fouled the Indian player. But the disgruntled visitors argued that the situation was not dangerous, and that if a player was injured and lying on the field, the Thai side should have kicked the ball out of the field.
On social networks, many fans also commented that Thailand lacked fair play in this situation.

But some fans defended the Thai team, saying that such situations are becoming more and more common in football. And even the world's top teams will not stop the attack.
Earlier this year, the Thai team caused a heated controversy due to a very unfair goal by Supachok in the second leg of the ASEAN Cup final against Vietnam.
From a throw-in that goalkeeper Dinh Trieu had previously cleared for medical staff to enter the field to take care of his injured teammate, Supachok took advantage of the opportunity to score from long range.
This goal made Supachok in particular and Thai football in general embarrassed and received fierce criticism from the football fan community. Supachok even "reluctantly" received the award for the best goal of the tournament voted by fans, as a mockery for him.
Thailand will play away to Turkmenistan in the 2027 Asian Cup qualifiers on June 10.
