As part of the 2023 Women's Union training program, on June 7, the Provincial Women's Union organized a delegation to visit and learn from the experience of building a "family of 5 haves, 3 cleans" model in Hamlet 5, Khanh Thanh Commune, Yen Khanh District with the participation of more than 140 Chairmen of the Women's Union at the grassroots level throughout the province.
The delegation visited the garden and pond economic development model, which meets all the criteria of the "family of 5 has, 3 cleans" model (5 has: Having a safe house, having a sustainable livelihood, having health, having knowledge, having a cultural lifestyle and 3 cleans: clean house, clean kitchen, clean alley) at 3 households of women's union members: Pham Thi Luu, Pham Thi Luan, Nguyen Thi Hoa.
The above models are used by families to convert rice fields into ponds and gardens to develop the economy such as: raising fish and frogs; growing fruit trees such as guava, lychee, jackfruit... and seasonal vegetables such as tomatoes, bitter melon, cucumbers, spinach... in an organic way, ensuring food safety as well as environmental hygiene. The economic efficiency of this model for families with an average income of 100 - 200 million VND/year.
The visit to the model aims to help cadres and women's union members have the opportunity to meet, exchange, interact and share experiences in the process of building the model of "family of 5 haves, 3 cleans", thereby contributing to building a new model countryside and civilized urban areas in localities.
