Visit and pay tribute to People's Artist The Hien and Meritorious Artist Le Thien

(NLDO) - On May 27, the delegation of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee visited People's Artist The Hien and Meritorious Artist Le Thien.

The delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, led by Mr. Tran The Thuan - Party Committee member, Director of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports , visited, presented gifts and expressed gratitude to People's Artist The Hien and Meritorious Artist Le Thien.

This is one of 8 delegations representing the leaders of the City Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee, and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City to visit and encourage outstanding artists, artists in difficult circumstances, and groups and individuals who have performed well in cultural and artistic activities in Ho Chi Minh City, on the occasion of the 50th anniversary of the Liberation of the South and National Reunification (April 30, 1975 - April 30, 2025).

The delegation of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department took a souvenir photo during the visit and gratitude.

At the house of People's Artist The Hien, Mr. Tran The Thuan - Member of the City Party Committee, Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Ho Chi Minh City - shared: "People's Artist The Hien is a person who has contributed a lot to the music field of Ho Chi Minh City. Musician The Hien's compositions have inspired many generations of young people in the city during the most difficult period. I hope he will soon get well and continue to have new compositions".

People's Artist The Hien expressed his gratitude for the attention of the leaders of the Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee. He said that his contributions are the responsibility of those working in creative fields.

As for Meritorious Artist Le Thien, she was happy to welcome the delegation. During the conversation, she recalled the time she participated in the scene illustrating the song "Color of Red Flowers" at the 30-4 ceremony. Meritorious Artist Le Thien transformed into a mother, bringing a resilient and tragic image. After the scene at the ceremony, Meritorious Artist Le Thien was called a heroic Vietnamese mother, and wherever she went, audiences greeted her, even though she said that it was just a role, she was not a heroic Vietnamese mother.

Taking a souvenir photo under the photo of Uncle Ho that Meritorious Artist Le Thien had the honor of taking a photo with when she was a child.

In addition, Meritorious Artist Le Thien also shared memories of performing for President Ho Chi Minh when she was young. She also kept photos taken with Uncle Ho at her home.

Despite her old age and poor health, Meritorious Artist Le Thien is still full of passion and enthusiasm for her profession. She is not afraid of hardships and participates in many film and theater activities.

In addition to the two artists above, painter Dang Ai Viet is also expected to visit and receive gifts on this occasion, but due to being busy with work, she will receive the gifts later.
