On the afternoon of January 10, 2025, the People's Committee of Thang Binh district assessed the socio -economic development situation, ensuring national defense and security in 2024, and building directions and tasks for 2025.

In 2024, the total budget revenue in Thang Binh district will be more than 1,666 billion VND, exceeding 40.5% compared to the province's assigned revenue. Economic revenue in the district will reach 540.6 billion VND, exceeding 31.6% compared to the province's assigned revenue. The total production value of economic sectors in Thang Binh district will be 12,366 billion VND, reaching 100.73% of the annual plan, up 10.94% compared to 2023, of which industry and construction will increase by 11.46%; service industry will increase by 14.84%; agriculture, forestry and fishery will increase by 3.81%. Estimated per capita income will reach 55.5 million VND/person/year, up 9.25% compared to 2023, exceeding 1.8% of the set plan.

Up to now, Thang Binh has 20/20 communes meeting the NTM standards, the number of communes in the NTM construction roadmap, on average reaching 18.4 criteria/commune according to the new criteria set; 2 communes were recognized as meeting the advanced NTM commune standards in 2023. By the end of 2024, the whole district has 37 recognized OCOP products. Implementing the Western Economic Development Project, over 4 years, the district has supported 325 models with a total cost of 8.8 billion VND.
