Chairman of the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province Nguyen Hoang Giang and leaders of Ly Son special zone inspected the scenic spot of To Vo gate.

The decision clearly states that the protection area of the national scenic relic To Vo gate is determined according to the minutes and the map of the protected areas of the relic in the dossier. At the same time, the People's Committees at all levels where the relic is ranked, within the scope of their tasks and powers, shall carry out state management of the relic according to the provisions of the law on cultural heritage.

According to the People's Committee of Quang Ngai province, To Vo gate was formed from the lava eruption of Tien well volcano (Ly Son), creating a thick basalt layer at To Vo gate location.

Over time, the basalt layer of To Vo gate was broken and subjected to the erosion of sea waves related to the sea level rise process. The middle layer of rock, due to its weaker bond than the upper layer of rock, under the impact of sea waves, formed a hollow, hollow level similar to the stone gate with the shape of a wasp's nest.

Because of its wild, unique, distinct, exclusive beauty and high recognition, To Vo Gate is one of the famous landscapes of Quang Ngai province and Vietnam.

Ly Son Island is located in the marine cultural space, with tangible cultural heritage values (Tien well volcano, Duc pagoda, Cau cave, Thoi Loi mountain, Xo La well, An Hai communal house, Am Linh Tu, Whale skeleton exhibition house, Hoang Sa fleet exhibition house managing Bac Hai, Be island area...), intangible cultural heritage values associated with the traces and cultural assimilation of three generations of Sa Huynh-Champa-Dai Viet residents.

This place is also associated with the history of protecting national sovereignty over seas and islands, with festivals, social and religious customs (Khao Le The Linh Hoang Sa ceremony, Tu Linh boat racing festival, Nghinh Ong festival, Doi Bong festival, Neu raising ceremony...), folk knowledge about traditional crafts (onion and garlic growing; net weaving), folk knowledge about cuisine, folk performing art of traditional songs; Han Nom documentary heritage.

Ly Son is also a place for practical experience serving the research and study of the general public; becoming a source of inspiration for creation in many fields of literature, fine arts, and photography.

At the same time, the Ly Son sea area in general and the To Vo gate scenic area in particular are favorable environments for the development of seagrass and coral reefs, creating rich seafood resources, providing livelihoods and main sources of income for the majority of the population living on the island.

To Vo Gate scenic spot converges all the historical, cultural, scientific, aesthetic, service-tourism and economic values. This is an important material basis and driving force for economic, tourism and cultural development of Quang Ngai province and the whole country.
