Ho Chi Minh City rewards authors and groups of authors who won the National Press Award

(CLO) On the afternoon of November 7, the City Party Committee - People's Council - People's Committee - Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee of Ho Chi Minh City held a meeting with authors and groups of authors from the city's press agencies that won the 18th National Press Award - 2023.

This time, Ho Chi Minh City rewarded the authors and groups of authors of the city's press agencies that won the National Press Awards with a prize value equal to 50% of the prize value of the National Press Awards Council. The prize contributes to recognizing the contributions of the authors and groups of authors and encourages the spirit of the city's press team to constantly strive, be creative, and dedicated, creating many valuable press works, contributing to the overall development of the city in the coming time.

Speaking at the meeting, Mr. Phan Nguyen Nhu Khue, member of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Head of the Propaganda Department of the Ho Chi Minh City Party Committee, said that this year, press agencies in Ho Chi Minh City had 8 works winning the A, B and C prizes of the National Press Awards.

The award contributes to recognizing the contributions of authors and groups of authors and to encourage the spirit of the city's journalism team to constantly strive, be creative, and dedicate themselves to creating many valuable journalistic works, contributing to the overall development of the city in the coming time.

Speaking at the meeting, Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association Nguyen Tan Phong highly appreciated the initiative of press agencies in investing in implementing topics to produce quality press works.

The Chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City Journalists Association affirmed that the Association will study and organize training courses for journalists, especially young journalists, to effectively carry out the city's propaganda tasks.
