Signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between Hue City and Chungcheongnam Province

Chairman of the City People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong affirmed that the Vietnam - Korea relationship is at its best stage. Hue City has cooperative relations with many Korean partners, however, Hue City has not established local-level cooperative relations with any Korean province or city.

Hue City hopes to actively promote cooperation activities with Korean partners in the coming time, especially with Chungcheongnam province, to promote sustainable development and common prosperity between the two localities on the basis of equality, mutual respect and friendship through activities to promote exchange and cooperation.

Chungcheongnam Governor Kim Tae Heum thanked the leaders of Hue City for their warm welcome and considered this an opportunity to promote Chungcheongnam's products and businesses in Vietnam. He hoped that Hue City would continue to be a key partner of Chungcheongnam and that this visit would open up opportunities for cooperation and exchange between the two localities.

In order to promote sustainable development and common prosperity, the leaders of the two sides agreed to sign a Friendship Cooperation Agreement.

The focus is on promoting exchanges and cooperation in the field of public policy and administration, through activities such as: exchanging delegations of leaders and officials, organizing training programs, sharing information and practical experiences. Expanding cultural cooperation through exchanging documents, information and organizing promotional activities in the field of cultural and artistic heritage, in order to respect and promote mutual understanding of the history and culture of the two countries. Together building a foundation for practical cooperation in areas such as industry, trade and agriculture , while promoting activities such as attracting investment, improving competitiveness and expanding trade for mutual benefit.

At the same time, share information on relevant local fairs, forums and events, and strengthen mutual invitations and carry out joint promotional activities to foster an atmosphere of friendly cooperation. Strengthen cooperation in the field of education and human resource development, jointly develop and implement student and youth exchange programs, and expand cooperation between educational institutions to enhance understanding and connection between future generations.
