Cam Pha is a place that bears the proud traditional mark of "Discipline and Unity" of Quang Ninh Mining Region. Those marks are also an advantage for Cam Pha to develop tourism , becoming an attractive destination for tourists, contributing to the gradual structural shift from "brown" to "green".

Cua Ong Temple is one of the attractive destinations for tourists.

Cua Ong Temple (Cua Ong Ward) is one of the famous historical and cultural relics of the Tran Dynasty in the Northeast region, which is the place to worship Hung Nhuong Vuong Tran Quoc Tang, who had great contributions in defending the Northeast region and fighting foreign invaders. This is the "meeting place" of mountains, forests, and seas, blessed by nature with a prime location, a magnificent, majestic, and solemn beauty that is rarely found anywhere else.

As an architectural complex that is both ancient and solemn, yet modern in a "mountain-facing-sea" location, Cua Ong Temple is divided into 3 worshiping areas, namely the Lower Temple, the Middle Temple, and the Upper Temple. These temple areas are located on an axis from low to high. At the bottom is the Lower Temple, worshiping the Mother of the Upper Heavens (Three Holy Mothers) and the Middle Heavenly Dragon Mother (Mother Dragon of the Vietnamese Land). In the middle is the Middle Temple, worshiping the Imperial Envoy of the Eastern Dao, Commander-in-Chief Hoang Can, and the Mountain God and the Water God. At the top is the Upper Temple, worshiping Hung Nhuong Vuong Tran Quoc Tang (the main temple god), in addition to worshiping Cuu Thien Vu De Quoc Phu Nhan Vu Hung Dao Dai Vuong Tran Quoc Tuan and his family members. Cua Ong Temple is the most complete temple worshiping the generals and family members of the Tran Dynasty. The temple also preserves the royal decree of the 2nd year of Khai Dinh, Dinh Ty year 1917. The temple was recognized as a special national monument and the Cua Ong Temple Festival in 2018. With its unique historical, cultural and spiritual values, Cua Ong Temple attracts a large number of tourists from all over the world.

Cam Pha City currently has 24 listed and ranked relics. In addition to preserving the national cultural identity, revolutionary traditions, and traditional festivals; the work of promoting the value of relics always receives special attention from the city. Notably, the Vung Duc Historical Relic and Scenic Area is a place to remember the contributions of revolutionary soldiers who died for the cause of liberating the Mining Region, and a placeto educate patriotism for the younger generation.

Another project of historical significance to the Cam Pha Mining Region in particular and Quang Ninh Province in general is the 12-11 Square. This is where, on November 12, 1936, a general strike of more than 30,000 Cam Pha miners took place, demanding that the French colonialists increase wages and reduce working hours with the slogan "Discipline and unity! We will win!", which has become a tradition of the Coal Industry and Quang Ninh miners.

Cam Pha also has a treasure trove of intangible cultural heritage of ethnic minorities, such as: Soong Co singing, ancient Cheo singing, Rao To Tom Diem singing, Tem Trau Canh Phuong... Cam Pha is also blessed by nature with many beautiful landscapes, such as Bai Tu Long Bay, Vung Duc island area, Hang Hanh cave 1,300m long, running through the Quang Hanh rocky mountain range to the sea. Cam Pha also possesses a natural hot mineral water source, with high salinity and temperature, Bromine accounts for 49% of the total mineral content, making Cam Pha one of the three famous Bromine mineral water locations in the world...

Sea tourism, resort tourism and spiritual tourism - 3 rare factors converging in Cam Pha. In the period of 2020-2030, Cam Pha has determined to make tourism services a key economic sector. The city has developed a tourism development plan with specific goals and solutions. In which, by 2025, tourism will basically become a spearhead economic sector with high-quality facilities, infrastructure and products, attracting about 2 million visitors, with tourism revenue reaching more than 1,000 billion VND.

To realize this goal, along with preserving, maintaining and promoting relics, the city has been building unique, distinctive and different tourism products. The city has built, inaugurated and put into operation the walking street "Miner's Night Street" on weekends. The street starts from Cam Pha Workers' Cultural House to 12-11 Square. "Miner's Night Street" has promoted the land, people and culture of Cam Pha Mining Region, creating unique tourism products, gradually developing the night economy.

The city is coordinating with TKV to study and implement the project to restore the relics at the crossroads leading to Deo Nai mine, focusing on restoring, embellishing and upgrading the traditional fire-keeping house. On that basis, the city will connect relics, mining sites, mines... managed by the Coal industry, such as: 12-11 Square; the place where Uncle Ho visited Deo Nai mine; Center for assessing underground mining skills; Vung Duc relic and scenic area... to build the "Coal" tourism product.

Since 2021, the city has launched a movement to build "Cam Pha City - City of Millions of Roses". The movement has truly spread throughout the alleys, hamlets, residential groups, neighborhoods, wards, communes to agencies and units in the area. Anywhere in the city, it is easy to see roses blooming brilliantly, thereby creating a distinctive highlight, unique tourism products, attracting tourists from all over. When mentioning Cam Pha, many people will remember a "black gold" city, but now it also has its own beauty with successive romantic and dreamy flower seasons, captivating people's hearts with the spreading love of the Coal Region.

To "awaken" the tourism potential of Bai Tu Long Bay, the city has included activities in the itinerary to visit the Bay, such as: kayaking, swimming, visiting fishing villages, learning about the traditional culture of fishermen, enjoying seafood..., which are truly attractive and appealing to tourists.

In particular, the city has completed the handling, relocation, and dismantling of illegal aquaculture cages, rafts, and lines, in order to restore order on the sea route, protect the environment, and contribute to exploiting the potential of marine tourism.

The city is encouraging the development of farms associated with eco-tourism, experiential tourism, and rural tourism in Duong Huy, Cam Hai, and Cong Hoa communes to form a chain of tourism products and strengthen connections with neighboring areas. With synchronous infrastructure, valuable tourism potential, and attractive products, Cam Pha is a locality expected to attract tourists in Quang Ninh.
