City implements site clearance for 20 projects

In 2024, the City People's Committee plans to implement site clearance (GPMB) for 20 projects with an area of about 214 hectares, affecting over 2,000 households.

Staff of the City's Land Fund Development and Site Clearance Center organized the measurement of the area of affected people during site clearance.

Of these, 11 projects are implementing site clearance; 5 urban development projects are in the process of consolidating legal documents and 4 projects are continuing to resolve existing problems regarding site clearance.

Since the beginning of the year, the City People's Committee has organized 7 conferences to inform residential groups about land acquisition and compensation with 436 households participating in the following projects: Investment in open-pit mining of Na Rua iron mine - mining project in the North area of Na Rua iron mine (phase 1); Hong Nam hydropower project; Land acquisition and compensation sub-project under the Cao Bang city bypass construction investment project.

Issued land recovery notices for 118 cases of organizations, households and individuals whose land was recovered for construction and project implementation. Approved compensation, support and resettlement plans for 42 cases with a total amount of more than 5.4 billion VND. Paid compensation and support for 42 cases with a total value of more than 7.2 billion VND. Received site handover for 30 cases with a total area of about 1.96 hectares.
